New year 2009

March 4, 2009 by irgtechs

Well, it's a New Year,  were well started into it, it's March already & nothing big, bad or major to report - hopefully no one is having any problems or troubles yourselves

There is one major change about to occur, as many of you may be aware - IF, not I will also attach the official e-mail from the TARGET Corporation informing us by next month that we will NO longer be providing bike service to their stores - "YES" you heard right & here it is in black & white in their own words
================================================

On Monday, January 5th we received notice from Target Corporation that effective April 4, 2009, IMPACT Resource Group will no longer provide bike assembly services to any of its store locations. We were informed that the decision to move their bike assembly in-house is due to the challenging economic environment currently facing all retailers and is not a reflection on the relationship we have with Target or the quality of service we provide. It is the expectation of Target that IMPACT will continue to perform bike assembly services for Target at current service levels through April 4, 2009.
IMPACT will continue to provide other valuable services to Target such as furniture assembly and special projects.
For our Technicians:
If you currently assemble bikes in a Target store, please continue to conduct business as normal. Your District Manager will be contacting you with additional details on how you will be transitioned into other accounts or other areas of our business.

If you have any questions, please contact your manager.
Thank you in advance for continuing to provide exemplary service at Target.

IMPACT takes the next step in technology with the SmartPhone

IMPACT is excited to announce the launch of our Sprint SmartPhone Program! We are changing the way we do business. We are making changes to enable us to be more efficient, effective and provide better service to our customers! The SmartPhone Program is the beginning of the transition from a paper based environment to a business model that is driven by technology. The SmartPhone is a hand held computer that allows our bike technicians to report their work immediately upon completion. This enables IMPACT to get real-time data on work completed out in the field, while simplifying the process for the technicians. How does this simplify the process for technicians? You will no longer have to complete the cumbersome service visit worksheets. You will now have the ability to immediately document the information through your SmartPhone in a fraction of the time. In addition, it eliminates the need to mail the service visit worksheets into the corporate office. So, the SmartPhone will save you time! During the initial phase of the device launch, technicians will be able to enter their service visit worksheet data and contact their District Manager and other technicians using the Sprint Network. We are also planning on adding additional features including the ability to order parts through the device, email, instant messaging and Sign In/Sign Out capabilities in the future. We have already started a pilot program and have technicians using the devices with positive results. Brian Bergman's district, along with others in the west coast region, have been the first to test the Smart-Phones. Brian says. “We are happy to be moving in this direction. This change will ultimately help us provide better service in the stores and make life easier for our technicians.  When asked how he likes using the SmartPhone, KenDileva, a technician in D501, said, “I love it! It is the best thing this company has come up with in a longtime. It is simple to use and makes payroll easier and quicker. The Smart Phones will be rolled out to the rest of the country over the next several months. Be on the lookout for additional information from your District Manager on the deployment and training on the phones in your area.

Parts order fax problems

June 10, 2008 by irgtechs

Is anyone having any problems getting faxes to send whenever trying to order parts - I have been getting transmission errors from different stores WHICH, obviously makes you think that it is NOT a problem dedicated to just one store - THAT it may very well be in the number we are faxing it to

the number is 1 (800) 760-6346

whenever you send a parts order to this number that is a free 1 (800) to you it is then directed to a (614) area code number that may be having difficulties

LET ME START THE SHOW

June 10, 2008 by irgtechs

I guess I will get the ball rolling by asking if, anyone else is completely disgusted by the demand being placed upon you at this time, are you also having to go build 50 bikes at one store 50 miles away, then drive 30 miles and build another 20 bikes at another store and 10 more at a 3rd, are you being asked to work on the weekend "UNLESS" that is what you want to do BUT, if you have regular commitments & obligations on the weekends then, it is hard to do & requires an adequate amount of time to be asked "IF" you can, will and are able to work on the weekend
